What’s new in XG Firewall v17.5

Here’s a quick overview of the key new features in v17.5:

  • Synchronized Security Features – Lateral Movement Protection and Synchronized User ID
  • Wireless APX Access Point Support – Wave 2 APs with faster connectivity and scalability
  • Education Features – SafeSearch controls, block-page overrides, Chromebook support
  • Email Features – SPF anti-spoofing, new Exim-based MTA
  • IPS Protection – Cisco Talos IPS pattern and finer categorization
  • Management Enhancements – firewall rule grouping, log viewer customization
  • VPN and SD-WAN Failover/Failback – improved IPSec and SD-WAN controls
  • Client Authentication – per-machine deployment, wake from sleep, MAC sharing
  • Airgap Support – USB updates for isolated environments
  • Sophos Connect IPSec VPN Client – free, user-friendly remote VPN
